FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) Vermont State Championship

First Lego League

The next FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) Vermont State Championship took place on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Norwich University in the Shapiro Field House.

FLL FIRST is a “sports for the mind” robotics competition for 9- to 14-year-olds. During the each competition, participating teams showcase the results of weeks of intense preparation as they demonstrated their teamwork skills, provided design briefings on their custom LEGO® robots, and shared their innovative solutions to real-world challenges connected to local and global communities.

Prior to the event date, registered teams designed, built, and programmed robots. At the event, they deploy their robots to complete thematic challenges during timed matches.

Spectators see demos from Vermont high school robotics teams at the competition. Additionally, Norwich University STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) demonstrations are on display throughout the event.
