About

Robert Stockett joined Norwich University in 2006 as the Physical Sciences Technician & Chemical Hygiene Officer. In that capacity, he provided laboratory support for the departments of Physics & Geology and implemented the Chemistry Laboratory Safety program. In 2020, Robert transitioned into the Physics Department full-time. Since coming to Norwich, he has specialized in developing computer-based physics laboratory procedures and data collection systems.

Robert received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University in 1979. After graduation, he worked in semiconductor manufacturing, specializing in IC microlithography systems and processes. Coming to Vermont in 1990, Robert researched hazardous waste management with the Environmental Law Foundation and coordinated a study for the Agency of Natural Resources. He also helped develop a system for sorting dry cell batteries by their chemical composition for recycling.
