Shapiro Field House
Shapiro Field House spans 50,000 square feet and features a 200-meter indoor running track, four tennis courts and a climbing wall. It is home to the Norwich tennis team. The multipurpose building opened in 1987 and is used by all spring athletic teams for early season practices and as a venue for Commencement, concerts, and other university functions. The Norwich Corps of Cadets and ROTC conduct physical training in Shapiro.

Shapiro Field House
Congratulations to the Class of 2024! The Office of the Provost invites all 2024 Graduates to the Norwich University Commencement Ceremony.
Norwich University will celebrate Commencement Weekend in Shapiro Field House on the Northfield, Vermont campus. Graduates from both bachelor’s and master’s programs from residential and online will be celebrated, along with ROTC Joint Commissioning.
The ceremony may also include graduates from the classes of 2020 and 2021, who did not have the opportunity to walk with their classes due to COVID-19. They’ll be joining members of the Class of 2024 for an in-person Commencement celebration.
Tickets will become available in the beginning of March. Graduates will receive ticketing information via email. Ticket information will also be posted on the Commencement 2024 website.
