Lucia Frezza
Norwich is quite possibly the best university to go to for cyber for military or federal/government service. No other school gives the amount of quality opportunities, both technical and social networking.
Lucia has been very involved on campus with cybersecurity events, outreach, and research. Norwich University’s nationally-affiliated student chapter of Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) has opened doors to learn from and collaborate with like-minded peers across the country. She is a member of both Cyber Leader Development Program (CLDP) and Center for Cybersecurity and Forensics Education and Research (CyFer). As a CyFER fellow, she has helped deploy a specialized learning environment for the Computer Security and Information Assurance program geared towards fostering a culture of research among students, for outreach activities, and for providing physical infrastructure for the CyFER students to manage and maintain.
As a 2024 Richard S. Schultz Symposium Fellow, she published a threat profile of how independent cyber threat actor Anonymous Sudan leverages perception in its cyber operations against Israel. Frezza was a panelist at the Military Writers’ Symposium and spoke about cyber actors use of publication to claim attacks, sell malware-as-a-service, and garner awareness for a cause. The 2024 Military Writers’ Symposium brought together international thought leaders in the realms of perception wars, misinformation, disinformation, and information warfare.
