About
Amy Martone, DNP, MBA, RN, NPD-BC, is an executive nurse leader with more than 20 years of professional nursing experience, including bedside nursing and nurse leadership in risk management, quality, and nursing excellence. She joined Norwich University in 2025 as the director of nursing simulation and educator and assistant professor. Prior to her role at Norwich University, Dr. Martone served for more than 12 years as a nurse leader at healthcare organizations across Vermont. In 2021, she received the prestigious DAISY Leader Award.
Dr. Martone is passionate about health policy and advocacy. She currently serves as executive director for the American Nurses Association of Vermont and as editor for the Vermont Nurse Connection, the statewide nursing newsletter. She is board-certified in nursing professional development and is committed to the education, support, and continuous growth of the nursing workforce. Dr. Martone has served on multiple boards for nursing education programs in technical schools and universities across the state and is an active volunteer with the SkillsUSA Vermont chapter for nurse assisting.
