About
Captain Conroy was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from Catholic Memorial High School in 2014, he completed a post-graduate year at New Hampton School in New Hampton, New Hampshire, in 2015. He then attended Norwich University, where he was an active member of the Navy ROTC Program and the Men's Varsity Lacrosse Team. He graduated in 2019 with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration.
Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in May 2019, Captain Conroy attended The Basic Officer Course at The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia, from September 2019 to April 2020. Upon completing The Basic School, he attended Infantry Officer Course 3-20, graduating in June 2020. He was then assigned to 3d Battalion, 3d Marines at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. There he deployed twice to Okinawa, Japan, in support of the Unit Deployment Program—first in 2020 as a Rifle Platoon Commander for Lima Company, and again in 2022 with Weapons Company as the 81mm Mortar Platoon Commander.
In January 2023, Captain Conroy assumed the role of Weapons Company Executive Officer at 1st Battalion, 1st Marines at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. After successfully completing two Service Level Training Exercises, he deployed with Battalion Landing Team 1/1 as part of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). During this deployment, he was selected to serve as Marine Officer Instructor.
Since June 2024, Captain Conroy has been serving as the Marine Officer Instructor at NROTC Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont.
