About
Dr. Jancaitis has athletic training experience in a variety of clinical settings, including as a graduate assistant at Fork Union Military Academy, a physical therapy clinic setting, public high school, and a sports medicine primary care physicians’ office. He joined the Norwich faculty in 2014 and has served on the university’s Wellness Committee, as advisor to the Sports Medicine Society, and as a department representative for the College Curriculum Committee.
As an Associate Professor he serves as the Director of the Master of Athletic Training program. Professionally, he has served as the Secretary for the Vermont Association of Athletic Trainers (VAAT) and as the President of the VAAT. He remains active clinically by providing per diem services to area high school athletic programs, volunteering at the Vermont City Marathon, serving as medical coordinator for various mountain bike events in Vermont, and performing medically informed bike fits. His research consists of investigating incidence of injuries in cycling events, medical care provided in cycling events, and the biomechanics of cycling as it relates to injury prevention.
