About

Lyndsey Gates, DNP, MBA, MSN-Ed, APRN, PMHNP-BC, CNE, is the associate director of graduate programs and an assistant professor in the Norwich University School of Nursing. She joined Norwich University as a nursing faculty member in 2015 and has taught across undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.

In her current role, she provides academic leadership for graduate nursing programs, supports faculty, and leads curriculum development initiatives. Dr. Gates is a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner and Certified Nurse Educator with experience in nursing education, clinical informatics, psychiatric-mental health care, and academic administration. Her professional interests include graduate nursing education, concept-based curriculum design, faculty development, program evaluation, accreditation, nursing informatics, evidence-based practice, and psychiatric-mental health nursing. Her scholarship has addressed biomedical literature and drug repurposing during the COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare workforce diversification, and harm reduction. She has also served as a peer reviewer for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Essentials Teaching Resource Database.

A three-time Norwich graduate (BSN, MSN, MBA), Dr. Gates practices as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in private practice in New York.
