About
Matthew Fischer's dissertation research focused on the issue of police-public trust through the lens of governance. He continues to study community policing and procedural justice and impartiality in order to gain insight into the factors that influence the public in trusting police. In his teaching and service, he focuses on criminal justice topics—in particular, the spontaneous creation of games and other experiential learning activities—across disciplines and contexts.
