The presentation will also highlight upcoming initiatives and the impact of our work on both academia and industry.

About Dr. Bataineh

Dr. Ali Al Bataineh is the Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center and an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Norwich University. Holding a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on artificial intelligence, Dr. Al Bataineh’s research interests encompass AI-driven optimization, natural language processing, and machine learning applications in both academic and industrial settings. He has collaborated on multiple grants from the NSF, NIH, Department of Education, and other organizations, advancing research in AI and related fields. Dr. Al Bataineh has published extensively in high-impact journals and continues to contribute to the academic community through collaborative projects and mentorship of emerging engineers. Originally from Jordan, he now resides in Barre Town, Vermont.

The Charles A. Dana Category I Grants are supported by an endowed fund from the Dana Foundation for the purpose of attracting and retaining faculty of exceptional caliber. Grants are awarded annually to tenure-track faculty who demonstrate superior scholarship, teaching ability, and university service.

Grant recipients participate in the Charles A. Dana Category I Lecture Series during the year in which they receive their awards.
