Shapiro Field House
Shapiro Field House spans 50,000 square feet and features a 200-meter indoor running track, four tennis courts and a climbing wall. It is home to the Norwich tennis team. The multipurpose building opened in 1987 and is used by all spring athletic teams for early season practices and as a venue for Commencement, concerts, and other university functions. The Norwich Corps of Cadets and ROTC conduct physical training in Shapiro.

One year older than the nation it defends, the U.S. Army has stood strong in service to the nation for 250 years, upholding the ideals of freedom, duty, and sacrifice.
Be part of history—celebrate the 250th Birthday of the United States Army through an evening of music and tradition! Join us on April 18th for a special performance by the U.S. Army Reserve Band from the 99th Readiness Division as they pay tribute to the Army’s 250 years of service and dedication.
