The U.S. Marine Corps Air-Ground Team:
Art from the Collection of the National Museum of the Marine Corps “On the Road”

Sponsored by the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, The U.S. Marine Corps Air-Ground Team:  Art from the Collection of the National Museum of the Marine Corps “On the Road” includes 32 works by 21 artists portraying the partnership of Marine Corps aviators and Marines on the ground.  Lin Ezell, the curator and project creator, will be present to meet guests and answer questions.  Food and beverages will be available in the museum rotunda, and guests are welcome to visit the exhibition in the gallery.

On the Right: Cunningham’s Flight in a Curtiss Seaplane, Colonel Avery Chenoweth, USMCR.

Experience what it means to see history come to life through the eyes of the artists who were there. This exhibit features original works by Marine and civilian combat artists who created on the ground, often in real time. The urgency of their surroundings lives in every brushstroke. Lines feel frantic. Colors hold weight. These pieces do not just show what happened. They make you feel it.

Now on view at the Sullivan Museum and History Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
