Ann Davila Cardinal is, as described on her web site, “a Nuyorican, Vermont-based novelist with an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts” who “comes from a long line of Puerto Rican writers.” She is the author of three novels for young adults, Five Midnights (2019), Category Five (2020), and Breakup from Hell (2023); her first novel for adults, The Storyteller’s Death, appeared in 2022. Coming out later this year are a second novel for adults, We Need No Wings, and a co-authored middle-grade biography of recording artist Bad Bunny. She has been a finalist for the Bram Stoker Award and is a two-time winner of the International Latino Book Award.
