About

Captain Ryan Brown serves as the Education Flight Commander for Detachment 867 at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont. At the Nation's birthplace for ROTC and inside the only private Senior Military College in the country, he develops Premier Leaders of Character and Action through mentoring and teaching to nearly 150 cadets annually. 

In this capacity, he recruits, trains, evaluates, and motivates highly qualified young men and women as prospective officers. Capt. Brown also instructs the Junior Level class on Professional Military Courses.

Capt. Brown entered the Air Force in May 2017 through ROTC from Norwich University. He completed Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Initial Skills Training, Vandenberg Air Force Base, California in October of 2018. He subsequently served six years at Minot AFB, achieving the positions of Deputy Missile Combat Crew Commander, Combat Crew Commander, Mission Lead Crew Commander, Instructor, ICBM Training Scenarios Instructor, and Group Evaluator. Prior to his current position, Capt. Brown was Chief of OGV Operations, 91st Operations Group, Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota.
