About

Dylan Curry enters his second season as head coach of the Norwich University men's lacrosse program after guiding the Cadets through a successful first year marked by competitive growth, postseason success, and academic achievement.

In his inaugural season, Curry led Norwich to a 9-8 overall record and a 7-4 finish in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. The Cadets advanced to the GNAC Semifinals for the first time since 2022, highlighted by a dominant 19-5 road victory in the conference quarterfinals before pushing the eventual conference champion to the brink in one of the league's most competitive postseason games.

His first season established a foundation built upon discipline, accountability, player development, and a commitment to the values that have long defined Norwich athletics.

Building a Competitive Culture

From the beginning, Curry emphasized preparation, attention to detail, and playing with confidence regardless of the opponent.

Those principles became evident throughout the season.

Norwich earned nine victories while navigating one of the conference's most challenging schedules and demonstrated remarkable resilience during the postseason.

Developing Student-Athletes

Curry's first season also produced significant individual success.

Senior attacker Drew Fleury earned First Team All-GNAC honors, becoming Norwich's first First Team selection since 2024. Sophomore attacker Jake Marcotte, senior defender Robert Carr, and junior defensive midfielder David Myers each received Third Team All-Conference recognition, while freshman defender Jack Bailey was selected to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

Fleury and Marcotte were also named to the GNAC All-Tournament Team following Norwich's postseason run.

Fleury later became the 33rd player in program history selected to compete in the prestigious New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) East-West Senior All-Star Game, continuing Norwich's long tradition of producing outstanding student-athletes.

Excellence Beyond the Field

Academic achievement remains a central part of Curry's vision for the program.

Following the season, Robert Carr, Parker Fleury, and Alex Johnston were selected to the NEILA All-Academic Team in recognition of their success both in the classroom and on the field.

The academic honors reflected a culture that values preparation, discipline, and personal growth as highly as competitive success.

Coaching Philosophy

Curry believes successful lacrosse programs are built through consistency, accountability, and trust.

His coaching emphasizes disciplined team defense, detailed preparation, and continual improvement while creating an environment where student-athletes are challenged to become confident competitors and responsible leaders.

That philosophy mirrors Norwich University's commitment to developing graduates prepared to lead with integrity, resilience, and purpose.

Leadership Beyond Norwich

During his first year at Norwich, Curry's reputation within the sport was recognized throughout New England when he was appointed All-Star Game Coordinator for the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA), joining the organization's leadership board and helping oversee one of the region's premier collegiate events.

The appointment reflects the respect Curry has earned among his coaching peers while contributing to the continued growth of collegiate lacrosse throughout New England.
