Make it Happen
You have explored various career paths, gained valuable skills and experience and developed your brand. It’s time to put it all together and take that next step!
Job Search
The CCR has partnered with Handshake to bring thousands of job postings right to you! Based on your search criteria Handshake can help connect you with your next opportunity. There are many alums using Handshake to recruit and want to hire new grads just like you!
Tapping into your network or the Norwich network is just as critical as applying online. Having an internal reference at a company is a great way to get in through the “back door.”
Speaking of references, who are you using as your references? Unlike written letters of recommendation, people who serve as references are often called by a potential employer to “vouch” for your skills, character and experience!
Using social media can certainly help speed up your job search. Dare to be different and you will be noticed! Remember, it is all about differentiating yourself and marketing your brand!
Be sure to follow up with the employer about the status of your application. Don’t forget to send a thank you note after each of your interviews to reiterate your interest in the position!
For more strategies and tips to conduct a successful job search and more about choosing references, check out the resource section on Handshake!

Big Interview has an awesome salary negotiation video series in the practice section. It will serve as a great tool to navigate this process. We have some great information about how to handle a negotiation process in the Resource section of Handshake along with a sample counteroffer letter.
