  1. Life at Norwich

    Get Ready for Your Visit

Norwich University is located in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Our campus is active and hilly with many staircases and steep inclines connecting much of The Hill. Comfortable footwear will help you move easily across campus during your visit.

Vermont weather can change quickly, especially during the fall, winter, and early spring. Temperatures drop in early fall and it can remain cold throughout springtime — with snow expected through April! Bring extra layers, hats, gloves, snow boots, and a warm coat to ensure you’re prepared.

There are refillable water stations throughout campus, including at the Admissions Office. It’s also helpful to bring a water bottle so you can stay hydrated as you explore campus. Be sure to check the weather ahead of time so you can plan accordingly for your visit.

If you have any questions about preparing for your visit, please contact the admissions team at 802-485-2001 or email visit@norwich.edu
