Peyton Perry

Peyton Perry came to Norwich to earn her nursing degree and found more than she expected along the way: lifelong friendships, a confidence she hadn’t felt before, and the kind of community that made every challenge feel possible.
Growing up in American Canyon, California, Peyton Perry ’25 knew she wanted to be a nurse.
So, when she discovered Norwich’s accelerated nursing program, she saw a clear path to her future. But it wasn’t just the academics that convinced her. While visiting Norwich’s campus, she felt something different, a closeness and a sense of belonging she hadn’t felt anywhere else. Norwich wasn’t just a place to study, it was a place to connect, grow, and be seen.
When Peyton arrived at Norwich, she found friendship in every corner.
On a small campus filled with clubs, events, sports, and activities, it felt natural to get involved and meet new people. She immediately joined the Cheer Club, performed in the fall production of Almost, Maine, and danced the night away at the Reggie Ball. Whether volunteering her time at the local Capstone Pantry, cheering on her teammates, or joining in the Winter Carnival fun, Peyton quickly built connections that turned classmates into lifelong friends. Everywhere she looked, there were opportunities to jump in, try something new, and feel part of the Norwich community. By embracing it all, Peyton discovered confidence and belonging that shaped her college experience.
Through every step of her journey, Peyton’s passion for women’s and children’s health grew stronger.
Inspired by her favorite instructor, Elizabeth VanHorn, she’s now preparing to graduate and return home to work as a NICU nurse, with plans to continue her education and become a neonatal nurse practitioner or endocrinologist.
Norwich not only gave Peyton the education to prepare for her career, but it was the community around her that gave her the confidence and connection to thrive beyond the classroom.
