Capt Edward Pingel

Captain Edward Pingel was assigned as a Marine Officer Instructor to Norwich University in May 2021. He currently teaches Evolution of Warfare and serves as the Swim Test Administrator and Command Managed Equal Opportunity Manager. He attended Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN where he graduated with honors and earned a bachelor's degree in Classical Studies in 2015.
Captain Pingel attended The Basic School (TBS) in Quantico, VA from October 2015 - May 2016. Upon completion, he was designated a Public Affairs Officer and received orders as the Media Relations Officer for Marine Corps Installations Pacific (MCIPAC) in Okinawa, Japan. There, he served as the Media Relations Officer and Deputy Director of MCIPAC Public Affairs. In October 2017, Capt Pingel’s occupational specialty designation changed from a Public Affairs Officer to a Communication, Strategy, and Operations Officer, maintaining his previous duties while also adding the responsibilities of the Combat Camera mission. \
In December 2018, Capt Pingel received orders to U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Korea, to serve as the Communication, Strategy, and Operations Officer-in-Charge from February 2019 – April 2021. During this time, Capt Pingel also served as the Staff Secretary and Protocol Officer from June 2020 – April 2021.
Captain Edward J. Pingel was born and raised in South Bend, IN. His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (gold star in lieu of second award).
