About
Dr. Al-Badri served as an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in Fairbanks, Alaska, and as an associate professor in the Department of Computer Sciences and Electrical Engineering at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. He is currently an associate professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the David Crawford School of Engineering at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont. His research interests include electrical machines, energy efficiency, power systems, and grid integration of renewable energy sources.
Dr. Al-Badri is a registered professional engineer in Ontario, an IEEE Senior Member, chair of the IEEE Std 114 Technical Committee, a member of the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE SA), the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), the IEEE Industry Applications Society, the IEEE Power Engineering Society, the IEEE IAS Electric Machines Committee, and the IEEE PES Electric Machinery Committee. He is also an affiliate faculty member with the Pacific Marine Energy Center in Oregon, USA.
