Geospatial Intelligence Certificate

Norwich University's geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) certificate program is designed to support the early stages of a student’s professional development in GEOINT competencies, recognizing GEOINT’s impact in education, industry, and government. This certificate is an excellent enhancement to any student's academic experience.

This GEOINT certificate program:

  • Is offered as an independent certificate (i.e., stand-alone certificate) throughout the university regardless of a student’s major.
  • Ensures that any Norwich student in good academic standing, from any major and either part of our civilian student community or a member of the Corps of Cadets, is eligible to earn a Norwich University GEOINT certificate.
  • Allows our students to obtain expertise in the field as an added value to their undergraduate major, whatever that major might be.
  • Will prepare our students for the professional world through applied opportunities to conduct analysis, perform synthesis, and evaluation.
  • Is designed so that students who complete the program, regardless of major, may receive a certificate of achievement that is issued by the university and accredited by USGIF.

The information and skills taught within the GEOINT program are applicable for any student majoring or minoring in architecture, artificial intelligence, biochemistry, chemistry, computer science and information systems, construction management, criminal justice, criminology, cybersecurity, defense policy, diplomacy, education, engineering, environmental science, geology, global affairs, health science, history, information warfare, international relations, international studies, leadership, military history, national security studies, physics, political science, sociology, strategic studies, or studies in war and peace.

Norwich University's geospatial intelligence certificate program is accredited by the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation.
