MAJ Michael William Simpson

  • Executive Officer
  • Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC)

About

Michael Simpson began his Army career in 2005 as a Field Artillery crew member, deploying to Balad, Iraq, in support of combat operations. In 2007, he commissioned through Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia, as a Field Artillery officer and later served in Korea as a Battalion Fire Support Officer with the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade and the 17th Fires Brigade. These formative assignments built his foundation in combat arms and joint operations.

In 2015, CPT Simpson transferred to logistics, broadening his expertise to sustainment and enterprise-level operations. He commanded companies in both a Division Sustainment Support Battalion (DSSB) and a Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB) at Joint Base Lewis–McChord, Washington, supporting readiness and large-scale formations within I Corps.

Following command, MAJ Simpson advanced sustainment operations across the Indo-Pacific with the Army Sustainment Command in Hawaii. Supporting the 8th Theater Sustainment Command and the 402nd Army Field Support Brigade, he led enterprise logistics efforts that ensured the Army’s forward presence remained operationally ready in a complex theater.
