About
Marthe Russell joined Norwich University in 2021. She teaches first-year writing courses, advanced academic English for multilingual students, cross-cultural conversation, and beginning Spanish. Her educational background has spanned multiple languages and interests. She holds an M.A. in Foreign Languages and Cultures from Washington State University, pursued postgraduate studies in applied linguistics, and has been a learner of Spanish, Russian, and Japanese.
Her areas of interest include theories of cultural differences, language acquisition (both English and Spanish), sociocultural models of learning, writing as a communicative and expressive tool, and intercultural communication.
