Patti Houghton Arrison

Patti Houghton Arrison received her BA from Smith College and her MA from the University of Vermont.

Her thesis, ‘My Hand and My Heart Will Never Be Separated,’ is based on her examination of the typographic properties of the first edition of Samuel Richardson’s novel Clarissa.

After working for more than twenty years in the Special Collections Library at Dartmouth College, Patti changed careers, teaching humanities classes for the community college system of New Hampshire she joined the faculty of the Department of English and Communications at Norwich University in 2020.

Patti continues to work in the rare book field, doing appraisals and consultations in the New England area.
