How to Apply
HOW TO APPLY
Current Students - Freshmen and Sophomores
At Norwich University, you can seek a Navy or Marine Corps commission in our program—even if you are currently a freshman or sophomore. You can continue to apply for a four-year national scholarship until you have 30 credits. Or you can come in as a College Program Basic Standing Midshipmen and apply for up to a three-year scholarship with the Navy or Marine Corps.
Students interested in becoming part of the NROTC Battalion can participate in the NROTC Designated Applicant process. A Designated Applicant refers to a qualified freshman or sophomore student who is extended an invitation to engage in NROTC Physical Training and NROTC Military Laboratory activities while concurrently completing the necessary NROTC paperwork and establishing a minimum GPA of 2.5. This all transpires during the Fall semester of their first or second year at Norwich University. Once these requirements are met, qualified Designated Applicants will then officially become part of the NROTC Battalion as Basic Standing Midshipmen in the subsequent Spring semester of their first year at Norwich University. For more information or to express your interest in the NROTC Designated Applicant process, please fill out the Norwich University NROTC Designated Applicant Contact Form. Alternatively, you can scan the QR code below to connect with us through your mobile device.
