Military Benefits

The U.S. Defense Department’s Tuition Assistance (TA) program can assist with the cost of tuition for Norwich University’s online programs to eligible active duty, reserve, and National Guard personnel. The amount may not exceed $250/credit hour. You may even be able to combine TA money with funds from the GI Bill® to help offset the difference.

Top Questions:

No. Norwich offers two paths: civilian and Corps of Cadets. Both take the same classes and can join sports, clubs, and ROTC. The Corps offers a military-style experience; civilian students follow a more traditional college path—both grounded in challenge, service, and leadership.

Do You Need to Be a Cadet?

Norwich is America’s first senior military college, blending service, structure, and purpose with a close-knit, values-driven community. Students embrace challenge, build character, and graduate ready to lead—in or out of uniform.

Student life is active and community-oriented, with clubs, sports, and campus events. Cadets and civilians live and learn together, surrounded by Vermont’s Green Mountains. Everyone’s on a mission to grow, connect, and make an impact.
