Norwich University offers two residential master’s degree programs as well as Accelerated Master's programs. 

Accelerated Master's programs

Earn your degree faster with accelerated Master's programs. Norwich's Accelerated Master's programs allow you to earn your graduate degree in as little as one year after completing your undergraduate degree. Earn your bachelor’s and master’s degrees in less time, advancing your education.

By completing graduate coursework in your senior year for dual credit, you’ll streamline your educational journey and easily transition from an undergraduate degree to a graduate degree.

Master of Architecture (M.Arch.)

Norwich offers a one-year program for students who have a previous Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree in Architecture, and a longer program for students with a baccalaureate degree in any non-architecture field. Both programs require that previously earned degrees were granted by an accredited institution.

  • Select the Degree Category “Master's Candidate”
  • Select the Academic Major “Master of Architecture” with the correct option: M.Arch I (for students who have a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture) or M.Arch III (for all others)
  • Select the appropriate Entry Term (i.e., "Fall 2025")
  • Submit any letters of recommendation and transcripts with your application.
  • Additional application requirements (i.e,. portfolios, etc) will be submitted through the student portal after you submit the initial application. You will receive a link and password to access the portal after submitting your application. Detailed information on these requirements is posted on the portal. Application requirements include:

    • Studio Work/Portfolio
    • Research & Writing Samples
    • College Transcripts
    • Other materials (Optional)

  • Master’s Candidates who are not current Norwich students, but who are less than 24 years old, may apply for on-campus housing on a space-available basis through the Norwich Residential Life Housing Director at NUResLife@norwich.edu.
  • Master’s Candidates who are current Norwich students may apply for on-campus housing through the Norwich Residential Life Housing Director at NUResLife@norwich.edu.
  • Undergraduate students will have priority for on-campus housing.

Master of Athletic Training

Norwich offers an accelerated Master of Athletic Training degree program for students in the Norwich Health Science major (students can earn a Bachelor’s in Health Science and a Master’s of Athletic Training in five total years), and a two-year Master’s in Athletic Training for students who have already earned their bachelor’s degree in another field from an accredited institution.

  • Letter of Recommendation: Reference letter from a Certified Athletic Trainer or Physician.
  • College Transcripts:
    • Overall minimum GPA of 2.75
    • Completion of at least one semester of the following prerequisite courses with a minimum 2.30 GPA (C+ average):
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Exercise Physiology
    • Human Anatomy and Physiology
    • Kinesiology/Biomechanics
    • Intro to Psychology
    • Nutrition
    • Physics
    • Statistics

International Transcripts: If you attended an institution outside the U.S., you'll be required to submit evaluations of your high school degree and college (university) transcripts at the time of application. SpanTran has created a custom application for Norwich students to ensure you select the correct evaluation at a discounted rate of $150.

The following requirements will be submitted through the applicant portal after you submit the initial application. You'll receive a link and password to the portal after you submit your application.

Submit via the Applicant Portal:

  • Certification in Emergency Cardiac Care: Provide verification of your certification through a course that meets the standards set by the Board of Certification.
  • 30 Observation Hours: Provide documentation that you completed at least 30 observation hours with a Certified Athletic Trainer.
